Shanta and Leroy met 27 years ago at work. Leroy asked my co-worker about me, and my co-worker shared with him where I lived. Leroy said he would lose focus every time she saw her. He felt like love knocked him right off his feet. Life was so different 27 years ago when he appeared on her doorstep. And we have been together ever since.
Where did he pop the question? The 1st time was in June 2002 at my mom’s housewarming party where all our family & friends were.
What do you remember about this day?
Leroy said the 1st time seemed like yesterday. I had arranged everything with her mom. And we decided to have it at her housewarming party. When the time came, I was so nervous. However, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Shanta. I just remember being so scared yet so in love with her.
Shanta said she was so surprised that he did the whole get down on one knee situation. And proposed! Everyone knew besides me!! I was so nervous. I said Yes!
And this time, July 2022, at a candlelight dinner at Steak 48 Restaurant. This time we were at our anniversary dinner. Just talking about our life. And how much it meant to us. And at that moment, we realized. That our next anniversary we will be Zoyr! And he asked me whether we wanted to make it special and renew our vows. Again!! I said yes!

What do you love about each other? We love our friendship! We love that we put each other first. We love the idea of listening and talking to each other about anything! We love the support that we receive from each other. And most of all, we adore the love that we share.
What do you like to do together? We like making memories! Date night is very important. Going on trips, making meals together. We like our after-work conversations, and we enjoy working as a team.
